Day 10 part 2: Let body follow the lead hand

Line up the body behind the lead hand
That was one of the foci for tonights workout. When I focused on this I found that i really did feel like I was swimming through a hole in the water created by my hand.
I definitely felt when my hand was too low because I could feel that the hole was way too deep. The only negative I have about this is that my shoulder did get a bit tired because sometimes I fellt like I was "holding" it out there versus letting it float out there. There's a fine line between relaxing it enough (maybe I should think about releasing the tension versus relaxing) and too much.
The other thing I noticed is that I am still really pulling with my arms and not letting my core do the work. I cannot hold my stroke count because I am still using my arms too much and they get tired.
I get impatient. I want it all right now. I think I need to have it slow enough that I can think about my stroke but not so much that I'm imprinting dead spots into my stroke.
I did find that 16 beeps per length was definitely doable and sustainable if I let my core take care of the catch and pull and speared my body through the hole.
I also still need to focus on keeping my head relaxed. I'm surprised I don't come out dizzy sometimes I move my head so much. If i think about just looking down at the bottom and watching it coast by that helps alot. I just forget sometimes when I'm thinking about other things.
So many things to imprint and relearn..... Continuous improvement, right?
